The Fitness Center Presents Full Moon Water Yoga

The Fitness Center at Warm Hearth Village is offering Water Yoga during the full moon of each month throughout the year from 7 to 8 p.m.  Enjoy one hour of water yoga in a heated, 89-degree, salt-water pool with stellar sunsets, lovely outdoor scenery, and the full moon framed by glass window walls.  Dates for up-coming classes are April 22, May 21, June 20, July 19 and August 18.  The class is open to the community and the cost is $10.

Certified, registered, & insured yoga teacher Erin Doty Senger combines the stress relieving and balancing effects of yoga with the therapeutic support of salt water, full moon inspiration, and props to relax, strengthen, and support the body.

Water yoga is low impact making it supportive for people with pain and helps to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.  Salt water’s buoyant effect removes the pressure and weight from the joints, alleviating pain and discomfort.  Since the body bears less weight, the muscles can relax, stretch and strengthen while decreasing the chances of injury.  Water yoga is beneficial for beginners and experienced land yogis and those who suffer with arthritis, hip or knee replacement surgery, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, breathing difficulties, stress, sciatica and back pain.
